Default proper way to change atf

i hear people keep on saying drain and refill, but i want to know is the process of doing the drain and refill on shifting gears. like do i just shift it and leave it in neutral and drain and refill? tia

yea i know about that part, and when i refill it has to be on a leveled surface, but what about the putting it in neutral and other gears?

That's the point of driving it around??????

It shifts through everything and gets the fluid moving.
