Default D-series engine question

I have a 94 Ex with a bottom end knock its a d16 VTEC can I use any d-series bottom end or can i just use the D15B7, D15B2, D16Z6
just wondering if I can use a D16Y7 block without any modifaction and yes I know its OBD2

also want to hear from anyone who has had there D-seires overhauled or just freshened up ie rings+bearings+polished crank. have about 600 to spend doing the removal and install myself

yes you can choose to do a d16y7 non-vtec bottom end with little or no modification. If you go that route you can look at this for help

You might as well go ahead and purchase a new timing belt, water pump, etc with the left over money or even head studs in case you would like to build or boost later but thats all up to what you want to do with it. Good luck
