Default Wiring OBDII port after swaping to OBDII?

Hey guys, I have a question.
Been thinking about getting back into the game.(hondas, DA tegs)
and if I do I'll be swapping to OBDII but was wondering
if anyone who has swapped, ever wired in the OBDII port.

Is it even possible?

The reason is I want to be able to use the ScanGuageII and
be able to read everything like Instant MPG etc...
Its real nice to be able to see what my MPG, Coolant temp, rpm etc... is on my car....

Or should I not even bother,

Thanks
