Yes, they will fit. HOWEVER, you do have to do a bit of metal cutting behind the light to get it to fit. Step by step instructions below:

FYI, the S2000 following on this board isn't THAT high. It's mostly Civic/Integra people. Forced Induction forum is also very good.

Instead of swapping isn't there a TSB for faded AP1 taillights? I believe there is and they replace with new ones.

 

It's certainly do-able. I did it to my car. There was lots of cutting involved and some rewiring to be done as well. But now that it's done it looks just the same as an AP2. You would never know that it wasn't like that originally. Also, if you do do this mod, be sure to add some silicone around the light when you install it for the first time so that you don't get water in the lamp. Trust me, I know.

 

just wetsand your current tails with 1500-2000 grit, then use some mothers/meguiars plastic polish with a buffer/powerball
