my car (ek4) is daily driver and on road i basically DONT want any additional oil cooling

BUT

at some point i hope to fit something like mocal setup for days i go on track but what operating temp stat would be be good for my requirements, standard mocal states 80oC with custom available but im thinking this may be little low for road so looking for advice from those in the know

a wild guess for me is stat that opens at about 85-90oC may meet my requirements but i have no knowledge in this area so total guess with no backing

i know i should fit oil temp gauge first and monitor temps in all conditions but havnt done this yet but looking for info/feedback within whole oil cooling debate first
