i was wondering what would be the best lowering springs for my crv?
what would be a good rim and tire size too if i get the 1.5 drop for my crv?

Good rim size for what? The stock rim size seems to work just fine.

The H&R drop looks uneven on CRVs, I would use the Eibach kit or K-Sport coilovers.

I have skunk 2 coilovers, they are stiff, you must get good struts and a camber kit.

Has anyone experienced differential issues with their 1st gen CRV after lowering it? Im talking more than 1.5" drop for a long period of time 20K miles or more? Im leaning towards the H&R Spring kit as I have not found any one with the Eibach kit still available. I have even called Eibach directly and they dont even list thats as an application anymore as far as the 1st gen. Full Coilovers are out of the question on a daily driver.

found a seller who can do Spax CRV1 springs for 138 notes... thats my next purchase, along with a 4 way alignment.. 40mm drop is about perfect i think on 16" with decent profile

well the biggest problem i have is the struts bottoming out. i have 2/3 of the rubber bump stop cut out and still they bottom out and it bounces. ive been pulling parts and comparing at work thinking maybe i can use civic struts cause they are shorter. problem im thinking is that the weight difference between a V and a civic. maybe good civic struts would work but i dont want to pay alot for a test strut...lol

bump!!
ive used civic struts for 330mi. i too got worried
about the weight issues, idk how much more our
Vs weighs more compared to a civic, even if loaded..

ive used showa and sheepdog springs(old set) that was first
originally for my EG, as a spare its still on a diferent set.
i felt that the struts couldnt take it or maybe its just me,LOL!
i wouldnt suggest it for a daily, im tempted to buy those replaced(but still good)
oem shock/struts from an upgraded civic but still couldnt find one..

let us know if you happen to do it..
