ATTN. People with HCP mount kits.
Ok here is the deal I have a 89 CIVIC hb with a 92 B18a. I am using the HCP mount kit and the adjustable linkage. Well my problem is the Tranny casing is close to the radius rod ( the rod from your LCA to the front cross member ) It seem like it is almost gonna just ride on the rod most of the time. My car is lower with *shitty* arospeed coilovers and stock struts for now. I had tokkico from a 92 civic but the rod was too long and always bottomed out the strut. SO I swapped it out for 2 new front struts.stock that is. I was just wondering if anyone esle has/or had this problem before? Thank you in advance.

I didn't have the radius rod clearence problem, but I remembered one of the old articles on hybrid did, and what they did is used curved radius rods from an old accord, that cleared the transmission. Here is the link to that article:

Yes it is close. I have never had my radius rods hit. At first I was concerned but after awhile I forgot about it. It looks close on the crank pulley side too. No hitting for me.
If you have frame damage that may be a different story then.

Thanks for the info and the link. I too have looked at it before. I was just wondering about that. It looks really close and yes my car has been hit pretty good in the front end. It has a 91 civic front end on it.(hood, fenders, corners, headlights, front bumper&cover,crossmember,ETC.ETC.)
It could be closer than usual because of the damage. But you are right it is very close, almost too close for comfort. Keep an eye on it for the first couple months. I think the lower your car goes the closer it gets too.
I had the same issue's as you did and I had a new kits sent to me and now it never hits, it was just an older kit and they were nice enough to send me out another kit and all is well, and the car is down 1.5" on neuspeeds with tokico's
