Is it really as dead as it seems?

We need to do something about it. Not necessarily just Honda's and Accra's, but just do something to revive or start the Austin car scene up(again?)


I'm not too sure on how many people are on here that are actually from the Austin Area, including Round Rock, San Antonio, San Marcos, Georgetown, just close by city's.

Maybe the first step is getting everyone aquainted then going from there.

i thought there were saturday night meets in north austin off of 183? i heard it was at taco cabana?

i've been up there a few times

 

There are a couple good meets on the weekend, and alot of nice cars in austin, but people dont want to bring out their cars because of the theft, its just getting worse, people from san antonio and houston are realizing that, and comming here. [freak] some people on the forums are thieves.

 

hmm, well I suppose we just have to figure out a way to organize meets, but only let the select few know about it.

I just moved to the Austin area and have to admit that I'm having a hard time finding anyone who is in the scene

 

Yeah it seems the import scene is pretty dead up here. Me and a couple of my friends (my crx, some 240's and some bicks) like to cruise lime creek and other roads on the weekends and I know there are 1 or 2 meets on the weekends but can't seem to find them .

 

The meets in Austin is so wack...

So many race carz always burning out in the parking lot or trying to driftzorrr around the lot. It ruins the whole car scene for most people.

Some meets are DECENT but even with the people that isnt burning out or drifting in the parking lot, they are talking down on on the little Hondas because they drives muscle car.

I haven't been to a meet for almost 6 months now. I wish the car scene in Austin was ALOT better and organize.

 

Well..I live in Austin, and also looking for a meet....so maybe WE should start our own an spread the word

 

well we use to come down to the taco cabana... and we'd bring 15+ cars and no one would be there, and the only time there are, its normally evos, stis, supras and such and they kinda ignore us.... sooo yeah....

 

I used to have my own meets, but I'd only invite myself. Then I caught myself trying to steal my own car so I stopped having them.

Yeah, lets acutally start making our own meets. with acutally people into cars and not doign donuts in the parking lot. a weekly meet?

yeah im from new braunfels and the scene around here is dead also. i think so even in san antonio. i had always been into the scene way back in the day with my friends and **** but never had a car. now i get a damn car and there aint ****. i wouldnt mind driving to austin for some nice hang outs.

Hey i know this is completely off topic but i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get my check engine light scanned for codes

OBD-1

its a '91 acura legend

the transmission light is also going off (flashing D4)

 

Wow since when is a 91 ever obd1? If it is a obd1 you can just go to Autozone and have them scan it for free.

 

there are meets in austin and good meets. it took me almost 7 months to find the good one. i thought the scene was dead, but its not. its hidden. i think it should stay that way before it gets back how it was.
