Default EG owners. Is this a good deal for a 92 w/110k mi?

Looking for a beater for my aunt....she's 60 and just needs something to go to the grocery store, doctor, etc.

1992 Honda Civic DX, 4-door, automatic, 109,571 miles, cold a/c. New alternator, timing belt, drive belt, brake master cylinder, tires, spark plugs, and battery. Asking for $2,600 FIRM

Never owned a civic before. Though I am looking for a 97-99 HX for myelf

sounds like a fair deal considering the low mileage and new timing belt etc... what kind of condition is the body in?

Deal sounds OK... but since it's for your aunt you should look into an EX model, it comes with many more features like rear disc brakes, power locks windows mirrors, cruise control, power sun-roof, D16Z6 VTEC etc. and trust me, it'll make a world of a difference.

Body is in very good condition. It doesnt look like there is much I need to work on, maybe the water pump, that would be it. I read that the EG had a tendency to have the AC belt come loose b/c it's a design flaw or something.

Yeah an EX would be more comfortable but for her short distances. I'm not sure the old lady cares too much.

If you change out that water pump than do the timing belt as well even if has already been done. It is always good to do so. You will know its been done right.

The car sounds like a deal to me though.

Sounds good. This is, after all, the original intention of the Honda Civic: a cheap, daily driven, non-fancy grocery mobile.

Go for it, op.
