Sputter at 3100 rpms??

Sputter at 3100 rpms??
Hello all. Gotta quick question. When normal driving as I pass 3100 rpms my car sputters for just a second and then smoothes back out. It only does this at 3100 rpms??? What could it be before I go replacing any uneccesary parts. Thanks.
