hey i have a 89' si hatch with a mini-me set-up. d16a6 block with a d16y8 head from a 97 ex.

i bought the car like this. it has a stage 3 cam that i want to take out and put in a stock d16y8 cam so i can hookup vtec and still benefit with MPG. right now im getting about 25MPG and it sucks. i just really want to have good gas mileage dont really care about speed.

the only thing is that im not sure how to hookup vtec. i see the green plug on the left side of the head but now im wondering about the rest of it. more than likely i will have to buy the other end of it but dont know where to start

help?

p.s. if anyone wants the stage 3 make me an offer, im also down to do some sort of a trade for a stock d16y8 cam.

which ecu are you using? There's generally a few things you have to hook up
Vtec solenoid
Vtec pressure switch
Knock sensor depending on ecu
O2 sensors depending on ecu
