Default Seats

Alright, my Si stockers are wearing out pretty hard. The passenger seat would be fine with a re-covering, but the driver's seat had several years of 6'x'' 3xxlb hockey player before I picked the car up. So it's gonna need some major re-bolstering and whatnot. So to avoid seat downtime, I'll probably just pick up some new ones. So my choices are....? I don't think del Sol seats look right in an EF (and my roommate has a del Sol VTEC, so I know I'm not comfortable in them), and Honda Recaros require major endz that I don't have. So what aftermarket seat looks right? My car is incredibly stock looking except for some hoodpins and being dumped, so I don't want some wild-colored, huge-bolstered, big logo'd seat. Anybody have anything kind of subtle in their car?

Well the CRX si seats are apparaently better than the 4G civic seats..so you could shoot for those..or you could drop something low...$400 and get yourself two NEX racing seats..great seats for the price.

What are NEX seats? Website?

Oh, and when I typed Si stockers, it was referring to the stock seats in my CRX Si.

I have the Si seats. I don't want more Honda seats, except maybe some del Sols, now that I think about it, they wouldn't be too bad. Re-upholstered won't cut it either. I just wondered if anyone had some aftermarket seats that don't have a big TENZO or KONIG logo or something to that effect. How expensive are del Sol seats usually?

well you mentioned you dont have "major ends" and you dont want cheap tenzo seats... so theres not much left.. sparco revs are nice.. and very comfortable and look better than a lot of seats out there.

You're right. I just don't like to put money into the interior/exterior of the car. I usually reserve all cash for under the hood or my g/f (the latter not by choice). You're right, I really don't have any choices. I guess I should look for del Sol seats.

It depends. If I find a decent aftermarket seat, I may just get the driver's, since there is only a very slight tear beginning on the outer bolster of the passenger. If I get del Sol seats, I may sell the stock ones. Otherwise they'd be a good swap in a daily driver Civic wagon, which I am looking for. Who knows....

Get something that bolts right in, its a pita to try to make new mounts. I'd would just get your stockers re-upholstered. It should cost around 200, last time i checked del sol seats were around 300+shipping, and you gotta find the right color.

nex seats are the ones that always get stolen. teg seats suck i have em. better than stock but the recaro si seats, del sol or s2k seats are the best

Well, I'd like to just recover them, but that's not all that I'd have to do with the driver's seat. I'm still thinking del Sol seats are the way to go.
