I had a buddy do this to me with my gsr swap. The distributor can actually go in 2 different ways. One is right and one is 180 off. If you push really hard the dizzy will go in 180 off and thats bad news. Pull it off and check. It should slide with just slight resistance to click into place.
My buddy put mine on and I started it up and it jumped time instantly. He said he had to push really hard to get the dizzy on...we are no longer friends.
