Default Radiator caps

I replaced my upper radiator hose today, and for good measure replaced my radiator cap. I figured it couldnt hurt. Now, my old Stanely cap was rated at 13lbs. And the new one is 16lbs. Is this a measure of how much pressure each can withstand? And is there any advantage of running a higher pressure radiator cap on a street car with a stock cooling system?

yes to the first question

second question higher pressure = higher poiling point but if the accord cap was designed for only 13 lbs and you replace it with another cap that is rated higher it could cause the system to leak if the pressure got too high. I have never seen a 13 lb cap before all the ones I have seen are 15 lbs I never checked my honda cap yet though

Just a slightly lower operating temperature.

I went to Pep Boys and got and OEM replacement. I asked for the specific part number for my car, so I doubt they would give me one that is not designed for my car. Anyone know what the factory radiator caps were designed for...how many pounds that is?
