Default GS-R Build Questions

I've got a stock 2000 GS-R with the factory add on lip... I'm gonna drop it a couple inches and as far as body work goes that's all I'm doing. I have to buy the stock tail lights to replace the gross Euro ones that someone put in there.

Other than that, does anyone have any suggestions for me before I start building it? It's completely stock, B18C1, all stock. I'm pretty new as far as Honda's go, I know the basics and a lot about integras but as far as engine builds, I'm a newb. Is the B18C1 in the right condition stock to start building it? Should I try to get a hold of an ITR block or something? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Don't be afraid to throw something out there, I wanna hear all angles before I start putting cash under the hood.

Thanks everyone!

first you have to ask yourself if you are going Natrualy aspried* or turbo, 2nd. look for power goals.
if your trying to spruce it up just a litttle bit bolts ons. and chipped s100 hondata. if your doing a turbo project looking for more than 400+ hp to the wheels i would sleeve the block, use Brian crower cams, comp cams, a name brand. any after market valve terrain will do. dont oversize not needed
just clean the head have a head job done and you be fine with the stock guides , and after market valves srpings and retainers, buy forged low compression pistons i would go with 9:1 coated pistons. weisco supertech , forgerd rods, eaither manely or Eagle h beams, arp head studs main studs and fly wheel bolts. a light weight flywheel is not rec. for a turbo project but would help if your going with a huge *** turbo, buy a new oem b18c1 top and bottom gasket kit. oem honda water pump oilpump and timing belt kit, aftermarket intake manifold. i would go with either a sheet metal intake or a skunk2
go with a larger diameter tb., and either a fullrace ramhorn or fulllrac e top mount manifold for the turbo. fmic, get new fuel rail, NOT the aem high flow, they are usually used for looks and for NA applications. 990cc-1100cc injectors s300 hondata chipped ecu, AND lsd kit for the trans with upgraded axels. driveshaft shopp level 3.5 should do the trick.

all this is for a top notch engine of course. im building and boosting for about 700+ to the crank and about 55-600 to the wheels.

another good tip

do not buy ebay junk
get ripped off and no warrentees most of the time.
