Hood latch release

My hood latch release broke and I have to put a new one in. can someoen tell me where it goes threw? The firewall? Fender?

it routes through the drivers fender to the bumper over to the hood latch..

yeah people do it all the time to avoid theft. But make sure you route it in such a way where you wont snap the line in the future after using it so many times..
