Hello guys, i have tried searching over honda tech but i am on dial-up and i have not found exactly what i have been looking for. What i am wondering is what exactly would i need to put this b16a http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.co...d=189 into my 98 civic si. My car has the d16y8 in it right now, so what parts would i need to use the b16? For exemple what mounts do i need or could i use my own mounts, what axels would i use, and i know my car is obd2 and that engine is obd1, would i need a new ecu, would i need a new exhaust? Any other information would be very helpfull!
Thanks very much!!

search search search and then search some more. this has been covered thousands of times on this forum. once you have read and searched and read some more, and you still have some questions, come back and ask. not being a dick, but this does get annoying to see this all the time. and when did they ever make a 98 si?

Honda of America (Ohio plant) began making Honda Civic Si coupes in 1995 in order to have them sold in Canada as 1996 models.
These cars have power moonroofs, windows and locks along with power steering, air conditioning and cruise control. They came with a 1.6L SOHC VTEC engine and were available with either an automatic or manual transmission.
These were the highest trim level of Civic for Canada until the Honda Civic SiR coupe came out in 1999.

I'm running a 1998 CiViC HX with a full 1999 CiViC Si B16A2 swap.
HASPORT has a fairly accurate 'Swap Guide' for doing this, but it's hard to find (Google Search, etc)!
Here you go:
http://www.hasport.com/tech/in...l.htm
That should get you in the ballpark!

SI in canada is the same as EX in US. And OP stick with the D16y8, you have an awsome platform to start out with.
If your looking for more torque, get a b18/b20. But gas prices now days id stick with the y8, and throw in an lsd with a chipped p28
