Tire size doubt: 140/70R17 vs 160/60R17
I need to buy a new rear tire, and the one I currently have is 160/60R17...but I noticed that the OEM size for my bike is 140/70R17. I know having a narrower tire gives a best turn in, but I have no complaints about my bike with it's current 160 tire (Even though I have nothing to compare it to).
If you guys where in my situation, what size would you pick? The OEM one, maybe something like a 150 o stick with the 160?
Mind you, I really like twisties and to throw it around...even though I commute mainly on the highway and just hit twisties on the weekend.
Thanks

majority of the SV guys go from a 160 to a 180, so I doubt it's a bad thing...I think they're after more turn in when they do it.
I know they say going to a 190 on a 636 makes it steer MUCH better...

i put a 150 on my cb-1 and loved it! my hawk has a 160, and it seems to love that too
if you like how it is handling now, stick with the 160. a 150 would give you slightly quicker response, but the shape of the tires also has an influence on things. an aggressive 160 would probably steer lighter than a squared-off 150.
