alrite so having alot of good luck with this car i bought .... when the car in nutrual the tranny makes alot of chatter noise when i push the clutch in it went away 3 & 5 pops out of gear when driving so hopefully syncros .... thats what i was thinging and maybe a tob anyways i was driving to get the car inspected it kept poping out of 5th on the hwy so rode 4th for a little put it back into 5th hopeing it would stay in for the rest of the mile to the exit... go to put it back into 5 and the tires sort of lock up and the car throws the tranny into nutural, intill i gave the car some gas and the car started to pull in nutural which is now my 4th gear so i pull over to try and start out in 1st and start all over but no other gears were available got it towed to the transmission shop still waiting on a word but before i hear from them any ideas thanks for the help

 

what is the car? engine setup?

and you have all the correct shift linkages im guessing?

 

did u grease up the throwout bearing? did u replace the input shaft bearing? how is the clutch cable adjusted?

 

The input shaft bearing was probably making all the noise, its probably fvcked .

 

yeah hopefully its just a tob .... as for the other ?'s i dunno i bought the car with the tranny and motor swap already ill let ya kno what the shop says than

 

sorry i kinda meant pilot bearing for the input shaft, input shaft bearing is in the trans
