It's japanese...but I'd still buy one!
With gas prices rising the way they are I'd like to see more companys come out with sporty 125 or 250 four stroke machines and bring them to america.

Y "zed" F.
it won't happen in america, due to the fact anything over 50cc requires an endorsement on your license. the manufactures would've been sending them here all along. gas prices>federal/state regulations.

that thing brings a price tag of close to 6,100 dollars......you could have a MUCH MUCH better bike for the money. Imagine the performance you could get from a used bike in that price range. The fuel economy wouldn't be too much different either.
a street legal nsf 100 would be nice, i just dont dig the look of many scooters. the ruckus is the only one i kind of like but i love 2/3 or 3/4 "sport" bikes. If ysr 50's were easier to find in my area i would definitely own one.

Pretty much, the honda dream 50r is sick to.
to me, they're both better than a scooter. not just because of the looks but because of the 5 speed transmission instead of that cvt crap.
Edit : came across this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-YZCt8OqLE
looks like it would be fun on the street, im sure it gets 70-80 mpg.

Like what, a redneck Ducati? Yea...right
I would take that Yamaha over your pile of junk...Not everyone buys a bike for performance, if I wanted speed, I'd buy a 1000. If I want a very fun track bike, then I'd buy the bike above. if I wanted a boring commuter/tourer, I'd buy a....no, I wouldn't ever, ever, EVER buy a monster.

This market is larger so the price would be lower if they sold it here, wouldn't matter though. In countries like the US without restricted licensing they will have a hell of a difficult time selling this against larger options like the ninja250..

If I understand the narrator correctly, the hp is limited by law and this bike is right up against that limit. I would guess it could make more than that.

honestly as cool as this bike is. you cant use it in america. the only place it would be good for is places like nyc which with the road conditions id rather ride a scooter. if you notice on the video the bike doesnt even get to 60mph during the course of the track!
yeah, id like one of those to put around in a city on maybe, but i take 25 miles of highway, and 50 miles of 50-60 mph roads on my daily commute, so i dont think anything smaller than my 550 would be practical for me.
Not a big fan of the way inline twins sound. Id really like to get my hands on a hornet 250. inline 4, 30hp, 16,000 rpm redline. i could see this doing well in the U.S

If the CB250F Hornet were sold in the U.S. I would buy one strictly for my commute and to run errands on.
The Yamaha in the original video is pretty cool, but with the 250cc minimum requirement for the freeway I would rather have a nice 250cc bike.

Theres no 250cc freeway min. You could take a cb200 or something and legally go on the freeway. Not that I'd recommend it, but it'd be legal.
Oh and graphite and anybody else in the US who says they would buy one of these overpriced incapable restricted things...

There are signs posted on the on-ramp of the freeway stating that Pedestrians, Bicycles and motor-driven cycles (motorcycles) under 250cc are prohibited. Or at least there are on the freeways that I commute.

I'm in CA too and I've never seen a "250cc" anything on any sign. I've seen plenty of the types of signs above everyday.

This says anything over 150cc is a full fledged motorcycle.. can you post a pic of the 250cc sign you're talking about?
