I helped a friend road tune his crx b16 turbo running 10psi and making about 300hp..

We made maybe 20 pulls on 4th gear and a few miles on the road but I couldnīt belive that it did not last any better than that... There is no rubber left and Iīm afraid we will have a flat if we drives it anymoore.. We are going to take it to a dyno and will be making around 500 hp.. We could easely distroy like 30 pairs of tires / season if that is normal.. I will probebly never buy that tire again... I donīt see that we did something wrong ither..

The alignment are like stock or not far off anyway.. Sure it was spinning some in 2nd gear but the wear is just crazy.. We did not do any burn outs..

Anyone else experianced this?

You have something major wrong with that car.....
I raced almost all season (100-150 passes) on a set at 600whp and the tires still had desent tread.

 

is it wore in 1 spot or the entire tire is bald?they do sux for wear but your case is ridiculous

are you trusting htat the alignment is fine? or do you have an alignment printout to back it?

 

im gonna call on this, how can a set of tires only last 100 miles, unless your buddy was out ALL night doing nothing but john forest burnouts then i dont see it happening. Post pics of the tires

 

last year i put 8000 miles and 30+ passes on a set and they still had a good 30-40% tread left at 350whp.

this year ive got about 3000 miles and 12 passes at 425whp and they are like brand new still

i once ruined a brand new set of yokohama something tires in 350 miles.

i thought the alignment was good because it didnt pull either way.

turns out it was equally toe'd out on each side, and severly... toed out about 1'' front to rear.. KILLED those tires, SO FAST

 

 

I have had mine on my car for almost 3 years now. I use to daily drive it with those tires, take it to the track and a ton of dyno pulls. They are just now getting bald but still have tread left.

toe is out... i killed a new set of falken's in about a month not ever seeing the track or dyno... toe is a killer!
