Where's the best place to mount my oil pressure sending unit for my gauge?
I have gone through 3 units in the past year and am tired of having them die on me. I cut 2 open yesterday to find out what the failures where, there are 2 tiny prongs that slide on some coil as pressure rises - both prongs broke off on both units.
I had the sender unit mounted on the end of a fitting that also held my oil return line for the turbo and stock oil pressure sensor. I guess the vibrations did it in.
Am I suppose to mount the unit to the block?, oil pump?, or have a braided line come off the block and mount it to the fire wall?

have a braided line come off the block and then have a T and tap into the T. Also you can get a gauge thats not electric, they are more reliable and more accurate, you can run braided line from the T to the gauge inside
