Radiator fan not turning on

Default Radiator fan not turning on

Well yesterday my car started to overheat while i was at a red light so i thought maybe i was out of coolant or something. then when i got home i noticed that my fan never turns on.So can someone help me out here? Easy fixs or what needs to be replaced? Thanks.

a little research would yield this answer.

Locate the thermostat housing, unplug the harness that goes into it. Grab a piece of wire or a paper clip and short out the 2 female ends inside the plug. this will cause your fan to turn on. if it does not, theres an issue with your fan, if it does then you either have a bad fan switch or you should replace the thermostat.
