Default bah, another stupid wiring problem.

Ok, so here's the deal, I can take the key out of the ignition, stick em in my pocket, and yet I can still turn the heater on, and all the lights on the heater controls will work.

A couple months ago, a connector on the back of the controls burnt up. It was winter time and snowing and with no garage, I did a hack job on it just to get me thru the cold season.

Well, I got new heater controls, a new subharness, and now nothing the blower motor won't even come on at all, which could be a burnt up motor, it was making some wierd noises there for awhile.

I know it's not the resistor, as that would typically leave only your high speeds for the blower. The wierd thing is that everything else works perfectly fine in the car, I mean everything.

Still yet though, im tired of having my heater run while the key isn't even in the ignition, and it's a problem that needs fixed before it gets worse.

And to top it off, i'm just now finishing up a motor I started building last year, and am about ready for it to go in, so any advice is very helpful. It seems like this is a somewhat common problem from what I can tell here on h-t.

After some quick trouble shooting, and some melted wiring, the problem is solved.
