B16 swap questions
I'm getting a B16ASiR1 motor for my 90 CRX DX, and i'm trying to plan out this swap as much as possible so that I can get it done in a timely manner. i want to do it right though. My friend just recently attempted to pull his b18c1 out of his civic, and told me that he got everything unbolted and disconnected except for where the linkage hooks up in the joint, there's a pin that needs to be taken out that he just can't get out. I've been to other websites before that have addressed that pin and said that a "special tool" is needed in order to get that pin out, but they never state what tool is needed. Can anybody give me some info as to what i can use?
I know just what your looking for:

hey dude..i believe the tool you're talking about is a punch tool..make sure it has a flat head on it..you take the rubber boot back to reveal a clip, take the clip off and then hammer out the pin with the punch..if i remember right it's 8 mm.

Its kool, we all gotta learn somehow
Its an 8mm punch. I was just looking at that it the Helms. And that is the most frustrating part of any swap, I think. That damn pin doesn't want to leave.
