Hey guys I am looking for a good degreaser. Here is what I am trying to find. Hopefully it can be done.
- Needs to clean off oil, old lubricants, dirt and other grit.
- Something that doesn't have to be rinsed with water. It will just dry and leave no residue behind, just clean plain metal. Faster drying is better too.
- Wiping it down or scrubbing is no problem.
- Its always a plus if it is safer on paint and other things.
If it matters here are what the pieces are made of. A zinc-alloy plated chain, a nickel plated steel sprocket, and an anodized aluminum sprocket.
Would kerosene be good? Acetone? Paint thinner/Mineral spirits?
What would you recomend? Thanks

you're still gonna need to wipe the items down if you don't plan on hosing 'em off.
Acetone will work.......brake cleaner perhaps?

Yea wiping them down is no problem at all. Even if it needs to be scrubbed thats fine. I just really want it all to evaporate as my main priority.
