just purchased a 98 integra that had a alarm on it... i believe its a old clifford nova alarm. there are times when i arm my car, and couple hours later or the next morning, i find that my doors are unlocked but the car is still armed... this only happens like 50% of the time. other times it works just fine.. this is a A to B car, so i dont want to spend extra money for a new alarm if i dont have to... i kinda dont think its the alarm since this happens even when the alarm is not armed or when the alarm is in valet mode. what can be the problem?? ive never heard of such a problem, and ive even tried searching.

sounds like the alarm to me. my old DEI alarm did the same thing a few times too.

it could be loose wires, it happened to me and I took it back and they told me and they fixed it

 

is it possible to easily disconnect the alarm (like maybe the brain), just to find out if its really the alarm causing this problem... because it seems to happen when the alarm is not even turned on (unarmed)
