Default Bolt on turbo system, 2008 SI

I'm looking for a bolt on turbo system for a 2008 Si. I was hoping that GReddy, or a similar worthy company, would have a kit out but it appears that they are waiting for a program for them. I'm not sure what the differences are in the ECUs these days or what is holding them up.

Is there a tuner system that would allow me to run an AEM box? Don't you have to rewire the car for KPro or is that not yet supported?

TIA.

Nick

DBW system has been an issue with Hondata...

I'm a Greddy believer and own the turbo system as well as several other Greddy turbo. The Emanage Ultimate is a piggy back system, the base map is okay but fine tuning will be better. You will also find some issues with turbo, from what I have read so far a BIG MAJORITY of the issues involved an unprofessional installation. When people try to change things up on their own without a tune or breaking things during install yet blaming Greddy. One guy installed 550 injectors upped the boost without a tune... Does this count as manufacturer defect?

I've been on turbo for 2 months now and have 0 issues. Greddy support is top notch second to none, full tech support.

If you don't understand much about turbo and some maintenance involved, do some more research. There are a few owners blaming Greddy for a blown turbo gasket because they ran 5w-30 regular engine oil, without timing down after a hard run and allowing the oil to break down over time. To better the life of oil I run 10w-30 full synthetic and check/change it religiously and time down always. There are more add-ons with turbo as well that would increase power. So far I've seen poeple make between 230-280+ whp on the Greddy kit. My projected whp should be around 260 whp. Others like AJP quotes more but I trust Greddy.

Research before you make a decision and learn as much as you can before you do it.

ONE MORE THING, DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE ZERO EXPERIENCE WITH TURBO.

AJP okay kit, more power, also reputation for lack of customer and tech support.

best thing is to do your own research rather than ask questions. there are too many opinions and faulty information provided. I read a few books and learned from my friends who have done it. HT has a lot of info but you have to be sure to disect the bad info from the good.

also, greddy is pretty much the best "bolt on" kit out there....and they been that way for years.

Yeah, I don't disagree with any of the statements up here. AJP has some really high numbers, and Greddy has the reputation / support. I guess it really depends on what you're looking for...

I was just trying to find something off the shelf to sell a customer. If my customer had the budget I'd consider having the shop build him one... Its usually easier to find something right out of the box that works... I thought asking would be easier... Thanks for the help

Don't worry I have tons of experience with turbochargers.... I'll give the GReddy kit a try. I agree with trusting a manufacture that is known.

Thanks!
