Default Hood dampers leaving gap?

Hey guys, quick question:

When you install hood dampers on your car, does it leave a gap between the fender line and the hood line so they can fit in there? I've seen a lot of cars with a gap but I don't know if it was because they had hood dampers, if they even did have them at all! Please let me know!

Thanks

No, it shouldn't leave a gap. I had dampers, you just need to realign your hood to the right spot when installing the dampers since you have to unbolt the mounts for the hood. Just keep trying!

oh cool. How long did that take you to figure out where to align your hood?

You could also adjust the fenders to minimize the gap.
