Default Front Crossmember Bushings. Are they worth replacing/upgrading (polyurethane)

I just wanted to know if it was worth replacing the radius arm bushings with polyurethane bushings? thanks

If so, are there any other companies available other than the 50$ innovative ones?
(Energy suspension does not produce these bushings for our cars)

How about Prothane? This is what I have on my Crx.

Yes. They really stiffened up my front end at the track. Eliminated my minor wheelhop issues and made my car more consistent. They were also about $5 for both, and they took 20 minutes to install, so definitely worth it.

ES DO make the bushings... can't recall the part number, and I don't think I have the box anymore.

alright so... if my reading comprehension isnt too flawed,
the energy suspension website calls these bushings "Front Strut Rod Bushing Set"
part# 16.7102

thanks very much! here is a website for future use

progress also makes a set of spherical bearings that eliminate all play. and still move smoothly. I think heel toe auto sells them, turns your stock crossmember into a traction bar

I started off with ES and yes, they are a good upgrade over stock. My friend uses the Progress bearings, lots of drilling to install. Works great. I'm running a FullRace setup now, much nicer. but $$$.

Any idea as far as in what order those spherical bearings go in? It's a 3 piece assembly (plate, bearing housing, plate) but I'm not sure if the bearing housing goes in the front of the x-member or in the rear? Quick example: stock assem is plate, bushing, x-member, bushing, backing plate.

That's only the diagram of how the bear is assembled internally, It still has 2 more plates you put on either end. I think it goes in like: plate, bearing housing, x-member, backing plate but I'm not 100% sure.

why spend $200 on just bearings and ONLY eliminate wheelhop?

ETD makes an excellent bar. Gives you clearance , caster adjustment, MAD clearance, bling factor, and ZERO wheelhop.

http://etdracing.com/8891.html

$300

I ran it on my crx for a year. made it SOLID. I tried the solid bushings, spherical bearings, then finally went to the ETD unit. night and DAY difference

saev yourself the trouble and do it right the first time.

i just figured since i already have somewhat of a good xmember, why not add some dope bearings to it? think that should do the job?

Anyone have pics of the ETD bar on the CRX?

I have one now but it makes alot of noise, Like creaks and sqeaks!
Its a daily driver so it gets annoying! Was wondering if i had the wrong bar maybe

mine didnt squeak , whats your suspension consist of and how many miles are on the components. I dont know why I never took an aerial shot of mine before i sold the crx

i wouldnt want to run a traction bar with heim joints because of the lack of lubrication. it would be a pain to pack them every week

i started a thread in tech/misc about heim joint boots but didnt get a response yet... shoulda done it in fab i think.
