Could be bigger, but looks interesting. All in all, I'd like to drive it sometime. Looks like a smooth transitioning track though

hehe yeah I kinda agree. No sweepers. A bunch of small straights and simple corners, nothing complex or technical... but a pic doesn't usually do a track justice soo..

Give me a RWD car, 5 sets of tires, and a day at the "Vehicle Dynamics Area" and I'm happy.

It's hard to judge from the picture. Personally, I can't wait for the place to be open. The track in the picture is only the north track which is 1.53 miles long with 62 feet of elevation change. The South Track (which is suppose to be completed next year) is 2.1 miles long with 111 feet of elevation change. When the two are combined they will form a 3.6 mile, 36 foot wide, 25 turn road course with 123 feet of elevation change. Yes please! The best part is it's only about 3 hours from my house.

You guys want to know the best part of this track. It is 4 minutes from my house. I am thinking about getting back into karting, this place will be killer on a shifter kart.

Yuppers, I'm looking forward to it too. Only 20 minutes from my place . In a couple of years this place should be pretty nice actually.

Brandon - Who can't wait to have some R meets in northern PA!

south track not complete:

The South Track, at approximately 2.0 miles in length, is situated on terrain that has more significant elevation changes.

While longer than the North Track, the straight sections are shorter and there are several complex corners which, combined with the elevation changes, make it the more "technical" of the two tracks.

i grew up in the north hills, off ingormar rd in franklin park... lived on mt. wash before i moved down south.

wexford was my hood as gangsta kids in high school, pumping NWA, Easy E, chilling at the bowling alley on mcknight road, and driving from place to place like absolute lunatics.... the 'autobahn' was the strip on McKnight from TGI fridays to the light at highland (bah, that's not it, can't remember, near passavant) rd.... oh, what a fucktard i was.... er, am.

oooohhh...yeah...

I might just have to stay in Pittsburgh for this track to be totally complete.

I believe there are going to be a series of Auto-X events at Beaver Run starting the weekend of July 27-28.

People near the Pittsburgh area check the following sites for schedules for Solo II events:

they let us run the vehicle dynamics course as an autoX and the go-kart track on the 4th of july....the go-kart track is awesome, the R was having a good ole time on the mini roadcourse. I got some vids:

Go-kart track, afteri switched to street tires (i had kumhos on for my first runs, but the vid was whack)
http://www.sandmracing.com/videos/br...402-street.avi

AuotX lot, fantastic pavement, vid a bit blurry

http://www.sandmracing.com/videos/brautox070402.avi

Can't wait to tackle the road course, they JUST got pavement down for the north track....i want full course, might give VIR a run for it's money (and it's about an hour away, if that)

Aleph, I'm not sure why I can't see the vid's but they sure sound good. I'm getting a error when downloading the codec. What program are you using to view it?
