Not on the 99. That was only true for the 96-98.

iv'e never heard of this. my power locks work. i can use the switch on my door panel to unlock and lock the passenger door (coupe) but i cant unlock both doors simultaneously using my key in the drivers door. is this why? please help, and is there a way around this??

edit: i have a 96 civic ex coupe. the radio in question is a Kenwood MPV-619. i was wondering what that misc. green plug hanging was there for.

you lose keyless entry and "domelight supervision" when you take the factory deck out of a 96-98. It was all built into the deck.

but i cant unlock both doors simultaneously using my key in the drivers door.
I don't know of anyone who can (that has a stock civic)

your domelight should go on when you open the door, if not you have to cut and splice your door trigger wires togher. i think it is the light green with red stripe wire and the light green with black stripe wire togher to make your domelight work again, i will check tomorrow to verify. hint, if you are doin your own alarm install you can get your 12 volt, ignition, door triggers (domelight), ground, trunck pin, and trunck pop wires in the green plug in dash. the trunck wires might not be in there.

domelight in my 96 EX works fine with my aftermarket deck...is it not supposed to? i am having some other wierd problems however. when i had my 2000 Si deck in there, [headlights off] the lights in the radio would glow bright like mad when i applied the brakes or if i put it into reverse. how bizarre??

when you hit the unlock button on the remote the domelight comes on ......... thats' what I mean by that. The domelight will still work through the door and switch.......
