if the cel pops up but u turn off the car and it goes away it doesnt matter u should still be able to read the code just jumper the plug turn the key 2 acc and count how many times it blinks

doesn't sound like you are checking the codes appropriately. when you jump the socket the light will blink fast blinks equal 1 and long blinks represent 10s. you should have all of your sensors connected when you are checking with the car off and the key in the accesory position. if it resets when you turn the car off it is a resetable code so it sounds like your O2 sensor is reading too high of an a/f ratio. what kind of exhaust are you running? cat converter? has it always done this? did you do the swap, or did you buy it from someone already done? did they have any problems? these are questions you should go over and get some answers to.
