engine need to be out for lsv conversion? socal shops?
i have a 93 hatch with a 2000 b18b1 motor. i have some noob questions regarding the conversion.
1. does the engine need to be removed to do this conversion. if im planning on changing pistons/rods.
2. does anyone know of any shops in socal that could help me out with this or help me perform the conversion.
3. what are the benefits of already having the ls motor already installed, if any, besides of course having the block. could i reuse the tb/alt/trans/mounts/axels/dizzy
thank you. i told you im a noob. any info would help.

just read that you should be golden....i wouldnt keep your ls tranny thought, go b16 or itr, better gearing , you'll fall closer into the powerband with it
if your looking for a shop try Import Auto Pros, theyre in Westminster

im just not very familiar with the engine building. i read that a couple times, but it is about building it from scratch. just wanted to know the parts i could reuse and how much would be expected to cost for a shop to install the conversion with pistons, rods, rings, bearings. thank you.

well if u need a shop u can go to "Inline" there shops in Garden Grove or westminister w//e its on Garden Grove Blvd. And Hoover i think its next to Autobacs on Beach & G.G. Blvd...OR...u can go to "Power Pros" in Santa Ana right by my pad they do good work & probly 4 the best price around Its on Farieview and 5th and one more shop to look into is SIR-larity(spelled sumthin like that) iono where there located but all those shops do nothing but import tunning and all recomended
