Now we're getting somewhere
My stock steelies are 14's. I have a set of slipstreams and I'll maybe throw them on there.
Where can I buy these and who can install them? Can I bring to local pep boys or something?
THANKS GUYS

I wonder how my mostly stock motor will do with slicks. Hope I don't break something....</TD></TR></TABLE>
You SHOULDN'T break anything on small slicks if you launch correctly. Most I think that MIGHT snap would be an axle? And I don't really think thats a possibility. But who knows. Buy the slicks and go race.

its just chance. hard to say what will break or not. i've broken the tiny d16 axles on 20x8x14 slicks and with only 140hp.
I voted for the 205/50r15 Drag Radials just because they aren't going to slow you down on top end, but since it is a drag racing only car, get 22" slicks.

they wouldn't...just run them.

Get a new clutch while your at it....the slicks will grip and your clutch will end up taking a ****. Motor mount inserts (prothane) are a good investmant too and not super expensive.

Right now I do have BFG 225/50/15 on my slipstreams (in my room.) You guys think its worth a shot to just go to the track with these meety tires or is it toooo much? Also, a good idea to mount the slicks on the slips?

you can mount the slicks on slipstreams to match the rear...just hope you have an extra pair of slipstreams for this. drive to the track...throw slicks on...race...then throw street tires back on when finished racing for the day. i used to do this all the time. you can mount the slicks on any wheel you wish as long as it passes inspection.
and you can race the DR since you already have them. they are better then street tires so why not race them?
