will an axle-back exhaust from a 97 GSR fit an 01 LS??
ok i asked the peeps in the integra forum but i got a yes...no ....yes...no....answer. so i am hoping that ya'll know more. usually ya'll do over here. thanx
? gsrs have smaller cats. there for the piping your gonna be putting on will be a bit longer.
it will work , but will stick out
unless you get the cat also from the gsr.

In 2000, I believe, they changed the cat on the GSR which allowed it to use the same dimensioned exhaust as the ITR, whereas previously it was different.
What is interesting to me is the the ITR has always used an LS-dimensioned exhaust, so I am surprised that a '97 GSR exhaust would bolt up with no modifications. Of course, sgT surely knows better, though!

oh, i didnt catch the axle back part of it . . . . even though if you think about it axle back is the full exhaust if you wanna be technical about it . our axles are up front . . . . but yes the b pipe is differenct, the "axle back " or rear section is the same

That may affect the B-PIPE but that is not the part in question.
He did say AXLE-BACK right?

from webster:
ax·le
n.
A supporting shaft or member on or with which a wheel or a set of wheels revolves
So by definition that would be the rear trailing arm.

so let me see if i am getting this right:
1. the cat on the GSR is shorter than the LS and ITR for b4 2000
2. the b-pipe is longer on the GSR for b4 2000
3. all the axle-back exhausts are the same length
4. i will not have a problem with a 97 GSR axle-back exhaust on my 2001 LS
.....correct me if i am wrong on any of those. thanx
