Default Engineworld USA Sucks

I want everyone to know thatEngineworld USA, is a jip. I purchased a D16Y7 motor from them and when I received the engine the crate was leaking oil everywhere, the pan was caved in and the front crank pulley was chipped in numerous places. When I got the shrink wrap off and inspected the engine the intake valves had 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch of carbon buildup inside the intake port area from oil running down the valve guides. After calling engine world their only comment was," it has good compression and no sludge." I tried to explain to their wanna be mechanic that this is oil running down the valve guides into the combustion chamber, the reply was,"it has good compression and no sludge". I removed the head and the top of the pistons are coated with carbon buildup along with the intake valves. the exhaust valves are clean. Their remedy to help me was to say we are voiding your warranty. PLEASE do not buy from these people. They are not trust worthy !!

Sorry to hear about your experience. Try and buy from a more well known company like HMotors or something.

Sorry to say, but ALL used motors will have carbon build-up within reason. Sounds like some new valve stem seals are needed and a quick cleaning and it'll be good to go. Not saying you're wrong cuz you've seen the motor firsthand, but build-up is common.

Regardless, if their customer service sucks, they suck. That's enough warning for me to stay away.

I would never buy a USDM motor.
