Is this car worth the money?
I test drove it and looked it over pretty carefully...
It is a 94 DX HB 5 speed, bone stock, with 185K miles.
The owner is a college kid, but is only the second owner.
carfax checks out.
The only problems I could find are the hood is dented from a fender bender (front bumper appears okay) and when I test drove it I could hear the C.V.'s grumbling a little in 180 degree turns, so I would be replacing axles.
The a/c blows mildly cool, but in florida heat, it didnt really cool the car, so will need a recharge at the very least (hopefully nothing else)
Other than this, the car seems fine.
He is asking 2K.
watcha think?

I dunno what the prices are for honda's down in florida, but normally it seems OK, but 185K miles is A LOT. I would try and bargain on that fact and also the hood.
maybe you can be lucky and get it closer to $1500

yep he's right there is always room to bargain with someone on a vehicle. he's a college kid that sounds like has no mechanical skills and doesnt know the value of this car.
he is trying to off load the car without dealing with the problems that are accuring and will happen when your not taking care of a vehicle.
You could ask him when he changed the timming belt and if it has not been changed every 90k it could break and poof there goes your motor.
So definately ask for less.
and I'm from washington and have seen a 93 go for 3grand.
work him

It's the ever popular "bubble", so if you low-ball him he just might walk on over to another buyer. I'm sure there'd be someone out there to buy it for $2k...so bargain with numbers. Get estimates from shops or part stores on what needs to be fixed and negotiate using those chips. GL!
