Default short shifter problem....

well today wasn't a good day i guess...anyways my new REX came with coilovers some no name, don't know about everyone I'm mean I'm stilll noob but to me they're gay-overs freaken gay I don't like them ...unless on straight roads...well too many bumps and bounces and my screws? came loose? from the underside of my short shirter under the car...are they screws or something else?

Because I was just driving on a straight/ decent road and ALL THE SUDDEN didn't see a bump and I ran over it and after i did all I heard was a "clunk" and my short shifter fell/dropped on me/ the height changed...I pulled over and looked under but couldn't see anything..though I knew it was something...I wasn't sure if anything fell out, but if anything must have been the screws- if they are screws? So came home jacked it up and sure enough screws or something fell off...SORRY no pictures even if I did wouldn't been enough light for a good shot well try to get pic if I can if no help?

But anyways are they just screws and if they are do i just screw them back on or how would I go about doing this and if so what size screws are they? TIA would like to get it fix ASAP by myself I can so I can driving her again, just don't like the gay coilovers but while doing so i can show her off

EDIT: good thing I had 3" piping? otherwise the bottom end shifter would have slip out of place and not stayed on top of the pipe and I wouldn't been able to drive it home and would have to get towed or something$$$

search for your car and look in the shifter section here for an idea of what you need, probably the metal spacer that goes between the bushing and bolts (12 mm I think)

do you have any extra metric bolts laying around? see if you can find one that fits.

I think it might be like # 18 & 19 it looks like because that's what mounts it to the underside of the car right? If so yeah don't know the crap that fell out on me but that's what I saw under the car and it was not mounted anymore to the under body of the car...any ideas on how I can go about fixing it or pick up the other parts without getting a whole new shifter/short shifter? though I'm still trying to get use to driving the short shifter my other two cars has the stock shifter still So when I jacked it up all I felted and saw was the piece that looked like #18 or 19 attached to 15 right? and the holes which the screw would go into and the holes under the body of the car for part #18 to mount? Though I guess a few other thing might have few out as well too eh? well let me know.....
EDIT:pic =P

p.s. DAMN just recently order and just picked up part #72430-SH2-A01 GARNISH DOOR SASH for $40 bucks at local dealer which they oder from CA and the this site has it for $26.30! plus ordser side moldings for $60 too both for $113!
I'll have to oder it myself next time from SOUTH BAY HONDA

For kix----

Its either the two bolts in the rubber mount, or the two bolts right under the shifter.

okay using bros laptop don't have photoshop or anything so can't point/circle but the end part near the bolt/razor with the two white dot/hole that's all I can feel/see under the car moving freely with no bolts when I jacked it up

you just need 2 bolts, with some large washers maybe, that should tide you over until you fix it right.

edit: Oh you are missing 18

I'm guessing you are missing two of #11, two of # 27, 18, and 19.

that's what i'm thinking though just not sure on the bolt size and if it'll stay in the hole under the car, kinda felt it with finger didn't seem like it can screw/thread through and stay but might be wrong will have to look again tomorrow and see...well I guess it doesn't really help me too much or you guys too much to try and help me if I can't explain it or have pics so I'll leave it at here grog and hopefully something will come out of it tomorrow if not will post w/ pics hoepfully

EDIT: NO 18 is what looks like the part that mounts/bolts it to the underbody that i felt which was loose and missing the bolts? and the other crap but 18 is there if it's #18?

2nd EDIT: damn laptop no photoshop! freaken need to circle/point....this sucks tomorrow with pics I guess

Okay today was a better day(sunny) was able to get two decent photo here's what it looks like:

so I want to know would it be safe enough or whatever if I just get/buy the bolts and screw it back in? will it hold just as good or basically will it do or do i have to properly get it fix? I know the bolts screw into the hole under the body but is there any nuts that's suppose to lock the screw from the inside of the car/ shifter? or bolts basically screws in and that it? Let me know

p.s. see where bottom end of shifter is siting? Guess I got lucky with the 3' piping enough to hold it up so i can pick up the shifter and shift my way home vs towing it

EDIT: GROG i guess only thing I'm missing is #19 and #27......#11 are still there....

So HT can I just screw bolts in w/o #19 & #27 and be fine?LMK...

Yeah you could probably get by with some bolts with some large washers, just to get back on the road. But you definatly need to order # 19 from the dealer this peice really supports the linkage (and maybe the bolts if you want them).
Use some loctite so it doesnt back out again.

and the bolts bolt into the body via a captive nut, its welded to the body, so dont worry about a nut.

Its just two bolts....there are no nuts you can get to inside the car......

Just make sure and check to see if those holes are stripped out or not on the car.

Other than that, just bolt it back on with a little locktite and you are good.

(edit....hahahhaa....i was in it already and you beat me to it)

THANKS guys I didn't really feel like getting a whole new short shifter and all tho if it was that bad guess I would have to...but figure that's all I had to do just wanted to be sure for safety I guess now will use some "loctite" or "locktite" but just saying if holes are strip any good ideas on how I should go about just in case.. which I hope not...will see if i want to order #19 or not....BUT since it's an aftermarket short shifter does it matter if it's the OEM part? #19 ? just checking....

BUT as far as the nut I understand but the guy before me striped everything/restore the car so hopfully the nuts didn't get shaved off or anything because I got leaks from my windshield [freak]ers cut the molding trim so i have gaps and freaken went for a wash not knowing freaken water just poured down like crazy from my pass. side coner so hopefully no more surprise or other stupid things done so i guess i can only hope it's still there and that it'll hold/screw back and stay in
