Dashboard "maintence" wire harness question

Dashboard "maintence" wire harness question
I am switching out my tan dashboard for the Black dashboard. I have a 94-97 dc4 black dash that I am putting into my 99 dc4.
In the 94-97 groupings of wires, that are grouped with the "maintenence" reset plug, is a "black and orange wire" plug.
On my 99 it only has the "Maintence" reset plug. On the 94-97 is the "maintence" rest plug and another plug (orange/black wire) that I am not sure what it goes too.
Any clue what it could be?
