Default 6x9's in a '96 teg

hey i was just wondering if anyone has/had put 6x9's in the back panel location that the stock speakers are? i know there is cutting involved, but is the time spend working on the speaker whole worth it?
thanks

I would stick w/ the 6" round size. Round loudspeakers will have an overall better sound quality than oval loudspeakers.

One thing that I thought of was mounting 6x9's to the rear deck lid with a seperate amp, or bypassing the rear speakers and using the headunit to power them.... just an idea I had one day...

Chris, who switched his stock 6 1/2's for aftermarket ones... it's a PITA to change the rear ones.
