i crushed the ends of both bars with a vice, and then drilled the holes, made sure it was the right size and then painted them red, then unbolt the selt belts, put the bar up to the holes and bolt the seat belt back in, and for the strong bar there are already holes with threads there also
Very nice...
We DA guys have to have home made stuff too since no one really makes stuff like these for us. My trunk bar is on the way. Thanks to a fellow DAer for making these.

I am really intrested in making this set-up for my car also. What exactly kind of bar did you use and what department in Home-Depot did come from? I am seriously intrested. thank you.

this is gonna sound really stupid, but what exactly is the purpose of this bar? does it stranghten the frame or something? or is it just for looks?

Willing to bet a quarter that you didn't gain a single thing from them but looks ........ just my 2 cents ......
The Type R's goes ALL THE WAY accross the rear hatch, and is as low as you can get in the trunk .......
A nice set of sway bars and a good shock/spring set up will lift the inside rear wheel off the pavement on an EF ..... even without sway bars, and crappy tires, it is easy to get loose with mine ....... there is such a thing as TOO stiff. But I guess looking cool is better than really going fast around a track .......

If it's not evident by my sn, my cr-x is gutted. The "rear" seatbelt mount holes that aren't used in the US are just sitting there in the back without any use. I've wanted to get a bar attached across the rear area using those threaded holes. Actually, I have a lot of time tomorrow. I'm thinking that would be a more useful area through the center of the car, and almost completely spanning the width. It's gotta be a solid mount to be used for seatbelts, right? I'll take a closer look tonight/tomorrow.
