ok, im starting my build on a poor mans type r, ive got the b16 head, and im picking up the gsr block this week and i have a couple questions:
since im running the gsr oil and water pump, i assume ill purchase a gsr timing belt?
i have a set of ARP head studs for a b16, are they long enough to use on the gsr block?
i have a set of gsr cams, if i put the dual valvesprings from the gsr head in the b16 head, will it really matter.
but im mainly worried about the pistons, i have a brand new set of type r pistons and rings i ordered from honda, will i have any problems running them, and will it require me to go have it tuned, its not that im opposed to spending money, im just trying to cover my bases this will be a daily driver and it HAS to be reliable.
if there is anything else i can do to make this build go smoother id appreciate the info.

i'm pretty sure b series timing belts are the same (don't quote me on this)
as for the head studs go you will need to order by the head you're using (so you have)
just make sure when you build the bottom you give the walls a good hone... redo the bearings, and breaking in the motor properly is the most essential part of this.
i was doing this too and read that you need to properly seat the rings within the first 20 miles of rebuild.
http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm that has some good info
worst comes to worst you can always get it towed to a place.. break it in on the dyno.. and get it tuned to your specific setup (which would be your best bet)
