I NEED SOME HELP 87 INTEGRA OVERHEATING
Ok , so i bought a 1987 acura integra about 10 months ago.It was summer and the ac didnt work...also it was overheating but i needed to get to my job to pay for my car.I had to drive with the windows down(in florida during the summer) with the heater blasting...no fun.Anyways.....i had coolant and oil mixed(ice cream)...and i knew i had a bad head gasket.I replaced it along with the head about a month ago..along with the thermostat. But it still overheated and the fan didnt work. Then i put the old thermostat back in and the fan started working again. Now the car is alot better but after maybe an hour of driving it gets up to hot again on the temp gauge...could it be a blown piston o ring?? i replaced the head, cams, etc, the head gasket, cleaned out my cooling system,my fans work, the only thing i didnt change was the pistons...let me know what you think
well the coolant level isnt really doing anything...its between the min and max and never really changes...i did notice that after i warmed up the car, the hose from the thermostat to the radiator(the bottom of the radiator)was cold and the one from the radiator to the engine (the top of the radiator)was hot..so I'm pretty sure the thermostat isnt opening properly...or could it just not be in the correct place??..i put a new one in about 2 weeks ago and then my fans didnt turn on and when i put the old one back the fans turned on again

Did you do a good coolant flush? Check to see if there is any leak anywhere?
