Default How to tell is my ECU is chipped?

i recently got a civic with a GSR turbo swap. The guy i got it off of said that he chipped the ecu with crome. i got a pic of it with the cover off. I dont really know what ecu its is because the sticker is gone. any help would be appriciated, thanks

The car runs well. I Believe that it is chipped. Its hard to find a pic of a stock ecu. the close up pic is the only chip i can find that on some of the ecu pics i found wasnt there. thanks

Its chipped. Inside the red outline is where you add the components when you chip an ecu. Yours has them added. Pic stolen from pgmfi.org

Do you know how to tell what ecu it is? All the stickers are gone. I would think it would either be a P28 or A P72?

It's a vtec ecu for sure.I can see the highside vtec switch in the picture.

you can read it on the gray socket to what ecu type it is

does it look like it was converted to vtec?pics look kinda fuzzy cant really tell.i know its not a gsr ecu prob just a chiped p28!

what's the number on the larger chip just above the "chip"?
ie in the pic that sewell94 posted, it's 251.
That will be the MCU, the number on that is traceable to ithe ECU's origins.

yes this ECU has VTEC control.
second pic, center left at the top. the part that stands up, should be labeled 5151 on it somewhere.
the jumper in place beside it looks liek a leg of a resistor so doubtful it was a VTEC ECU to begin with. (not a big deal)
