you cant take off the whole stock shock and springs off the car or take off the springs off the shocks??

its two 14mm nuts for the top hats then a 17 mm bolt for the forks and then its a 12 mm for the shock and fork and 3 10 mm bolts for the brake line.

and to take off the springs theres a 14 mm nut i belive in the middle of the top hats youll need a allen key and a wrench for that. but your gonna need to get a spring compressor if its your first time taking them off.

i think thats how you take that stuff off. correct me if im wrong?

yeah i got the 2 top nuts off .. and the 2 bolts holding on the brake line ... and the nut/bolt that goes through the bottom of the shock .. and i could move it freely but still couldnt get it out becase the axle wouldnt let it drop out .. so im like stuck there

What i did was removed the fork from the strut. There is a bolt on the back of the fork. I removed the bolt and wiggled the fork til it dropped of the strut. You might need a friend to hold the strut. It should come off...

Good luck!

break loose the lower control arm knock your cv shaft out ,pull the spindle/brake assembly out the way then pull out the strut
you'll need a 32mm socket for the cv shaft nut and a b.f.h. (hammer)to knock the lower control arm

Here is my hatch lowered on 16" using Skunk2 coil overs. I raised it in the second picture.

BTW get a good impact gun if your taking off the axle nut.

It's a nice looking hatch, and the ride height looks good.

clean hatch man.. i agree with everyone else.. you should definitely lower it some more and at least tuck the steelies.. i wouldn't run 16"s either, they're way too big, especially with those tiny drum breaks... you might also need to roll the fenders to get the 16"s to tuck nicely.. IMO the biggest (and best performance wise) size is to run 15"s with 195/50s

LOL at everyone who likes to run on the bumpstops..

that ride height looks good to me (maybe raise the rear a tad). going lower isn't going to help handling anyway, since you'll be outside the optimum working range of the suspension geometry, and EF's run out of suspension travel and hit the bumpstops real fast.

Putting wider wheels (with like a 40mm offset) on there will flush out the tires more with the fender, and make the car appear lower than it does with the steelies (ask me how I know this ) I'd say you are fine. But at least wait until you get the new wheels before you mess with it again.
