Well, do you have an OBDII engine that requires a knock sensor?? Typically, an engine that requires a KS has a KS. Did you take a VTEC engine out of your car and put a non-VTEC one in? And how the heck did these people figure out you need a KS? IF you are running a JDM ECU, they can't even communicate with it via the OBD2 port which is why I'm curious.
Bottom line: JDM VTEC engine has knock sensor
Some JDM non VTEC engines don't have KS's and some do. If you have to add one, you can retap a hole for the alternator upper bracket and screw it in there.
