Possibly a bad distributor????
My friend drove his '90 hatch si to napa yesterday to get a few things and the car ran fine on the way over. When he came out and tried to start it wouldnt. I went by and checked it out and there were no CEL's and there was a loud sparking noise coming from inside the distributor. I took off the cap and it all looks good but still have the noise and the car wont start.
Have any of you had this problem before where the distributor just goes out instantly with no signs? and have any of you had the loud noise i tried to describe coming from inside the distributor?

no the cap, rotor, and whatever i could see looked good(i couldnt see any sparks) but yeah i know something is definetely wrong in there. I was just curious if anybody has had the same problem and if maybe it is fixable without buying a new distributor.
