Default power steering again

Ok, so i've already replaced my power steering pump once, and the rack about 6 months ago. now, I get my car back from my old shop yesterday and last night the power steering pump started to make a low whining noise thats only noticeable at idle. i read from another post that if you don't use honda ps fluid that it will mess up the pump and seals, is this true? and then should i just flush the ps fluid, or do i need to get another pump?

Yea, non-Honda fluid could probably make it go bad over time...I would drain and refill with Honda stuff and see if it gets any better. Also check you belt tension...could be too tight.

ok so the non-Honda ps fluid is a mixed bag of answers from 2 race shop mechanics and 2 dealerships i talked to. but it turns out that it was my harmonic balancer that was going fast...cause today any revs over 6k wash shaking the whole car. thanks though.

Uhh...what happened to it? The rubber ring separated or the bolt came loose?
