Default got a ticket...

got a ticket today for speeding The cop said he let me off easy. He claims I was 1 step away from reckless driving even though i was just driving faster than all the other cars (in a hurry to get home to a birthday party for a friend)

He let me off easy in the longrun. He said he could have got me for 4 other thing.
1. No front lisense plate
2. illeagle tinting
3. He claimed my exhaust is too loud (skunk2 70mm)
4. Illeagle intake manifold......

After he gave me the ticket and warned me about the tint/lisense place, i was driving away and he pulls me over again...
"You know, by state law, I could site you for having your exhaust exceeding a certain decible. Also, (glances at my Injen decal) do you have any other modifications that you feel could be illeagle by state law?"
"not that I know of, sir"
"Have you toggled with your stock air intake system?"
"I think I might have, sir"
"Ok well you should put the stock parts back into the car just for saftey reasons"
"Will do.... sir...."
and he lets me go...

for SoCal cops that have nothing better to do..

not really...you were speeding. it just so happen he found other things on your car that don't cooperate with state law. not his fault but yours.

i lived in cali and have been in the same situations as you.....not once did i blame the cops for having nothing better to do.

yup, that's why it kinda sucks to do
mods to your car that will alter the
HP output,albeit,by doing so,you
will be violating certain laws.

sucks, but we can't do anything about
it.

you should just become a firefighter and save their (cops) *** when **** hits the fan! and tell them to go shoot something, what else are 50 cop cars at an accident scene going to block for me that my big bright red fire engine wont??? give me one cop with a stop sign, some flares and a piece of paper to right on so they look busy while we do all the work.... then tell them thanks for all their help and tell them to remember who cleaned up all the blood, bodies, cars etc... so they never get dirty... and then the next time you get pulled over and they recognize you or your badge they say " hey come on fire boy let keep the speed down next time... nice car!! and thats all she wrote: don't get me wrong some of my good friends are cops and i love them just like brothers but just remember it take a certain type of personality to be a cop and it shows every time you get pulled over!!

Drive safe, keep the car quiet, keep it subtle and clean, they never harass you. My friend is a cop and he has a couple of modded cars himself. He says he never pulls people over unless they speed, do something illegal or drive recklessly. If the driver acts like a douche then he starts going down the check list. You're lucky that cop was cool to you.

haha i have two friends that are going into the fire department and they're always baggin on cops.

Accident scene- cop walks up to victiims in cars and just shines flashlight in their eyes. "hey, everyone in here alright. Wow, that looks like a lot of blood. I don't do blood, let me go get a fire fighter."

What method did he nail you with? Radar, Laser, Pacing or what?? Depending on method the officer wrote down would decided if I were to fight or not...

Dude, you got lucky. In my area the cops will not hesitate to write you up for everything they "think" is modified on your car. There is one sheriff in my area who has impounded two cars for having NOS.

Even with a CARB sticker for my Supercharger, my car stay's mainly in the garage.

in arkansas, you can't have nitrous hooked up in a street car. it can be in the car, but not connected. luckily, the law doesn't care about much else.
